There are things that bother me when I was in a Mall some time ago, where the sales person tried to offer a medical equipment, or household electronic products such as microwave, water filters, etc. in a way which I think is not fair. They act as if the target is winning something, so they did not have to pay for these products but they pay so much money for taxes, etc instead. A strange marketing tactics, because if we take a closer look again, the product being offered is not well-known brands, and the scenario that has been developed for this event is not designed to provide the best for prospective customers but more likely is a way to trick them into buying all this useless items.
As a sales person, we are given the power by the product developer to persuade people that what we offer is the best. Sales person is as a reflection of the product or brand, or like an incarnation of the product or service in the real life. The Image of a product depends on the sales person, and a sales person relies heavily on the customer database. The chain should not be broken. If that happens, then it's like breaking the chain of life for the sales themselves. When we take a look the situation above, cheating the customers could have made benefit from the sales, but it will not guaranteed to get repeat orders, and of course, the customer is not going in to the sales person database.
The chain of life has been broken because of the abuse of power, abuse of power to sell, and persuade someone to believe in us. I know It is very difficult to find a good job now days, but by taking advantage from other people's trust (like the situation above) are not a good thing to do. A good sales person must be confident and proud of the product that he or she sells, and do not asking someone to do something that your self will not do.
